The West Central Tigers are ecstatic to announce Braden Bystrom as the 2025-2026 non-parent Head Coach for our U18AA team. Joining Braden with non-parent coaching supports will include WCT Alumni’s both Tyson Tisdale and Ash Defresne.

Braden brings a vast amount of experience and passion to coaching young competitive players and helping them achieve the next goal they are working towards. His coaching philosophy isn’t just limited to development on the ice; Braden believes that including mental development, video review to grow hockey IQ, resiliency skills and mentorship off the ice will grown our athletes into their full potential.

“I’m incredibly excited to return to the West Central Tigers association – the place where I grew up playing and where my coaching journey first began. It truly feels like coming home. I’m looking forward to working alongside a great coaching staff and helping our players grow both on and off the ice. Our goal is not only to develop their skills to reach the next level in hockey, but also to shape them into strong, respectful young men who are prepared for life beyond the rink.
