U11 Lakers
U11 Lakers are 9 & 10 years old, and for the 2025-2026 season that means their year of birth is 2016 and 2015. Our U11 usually have four teams depending upon numbers registered.

U11 AA Lakers
Starting with the 2024-25 season, U11 AA will operate under the specific rules and regulations of the U11 AA Hockey Model - similar to U11 HADP, but with some differences, including:
- Hockey Alberta has identified the MHAs required to host U11 AA teams as part of the U11 AA Hockey Model. An MHA that is hosting U13 AA teams as part of the AA Hockey Model will host the same number of U11 AA teams as they operate at U13 AA.
- Hockey Alberta has identified an expansion / reduction process that allows MHAs, including those not hosting U13 AA teams, to apply to Hockey Alberta for expansion or reduction within the U11 AA Hockey Model.
- League-play under the U11 AA Hockey Model will be operated by Hockey Alberta with the formation of a new U11 AA league. The league features conferences and divisions to minimize travel during the season, and crowns a League / Provincial Champion at the end of the season.

*Non-residents must fill out a U11 AA Notification of Tryout Form and have signed by their Home Association President. Approved copy of form must be submitted to general@slmha.hockey prior to tryouts.
U11 FEE & STRUCTURE
As we strive to grow and develop as an Association, SLMHA has reviewed feedback from members and as such will be implementing a two-part fee structure. We believe this will give our SLMHA members the opportunity to have a successful and unique season that best suits the player.

U11 Core Level Registration Fee
$850.00 - Core Level Fee $1050.00 - After July 31st

U11 Advanced Level Registration Fee
$965.00 - Advance Level Fee $1,165.00 - After July 31st + $150.00 Tryout Fee |
U11 AA Registration Fee
$1115.00 - Advance Level Fee $1,315.00 - After July 31st + $150.00 Tryout Fee |
*Players who do not make the Advance or AA Level teams during tryouts, will be refunded the difference between Core , Advance or AA Level fees. Tryout fees are non-refundable.
CORE LEVEL REGISTRATION FEE
Core level Includes:
- Even Placement Teams
- No additional registration fees
- Core Level Fee places player on an equal skill-based team(s)
- ONE practice per week PLUS weekend games
- Teams will continue to play competitive games within their CAHL tier(s)
- Participate in tournaments within CAHL (Tournaments may have additional costs)
- Optional Development Ice Sessions will be availabel at an additional fee
ADVANCED LEVEL REGISTRATION FEE
- $150.00 Tryout Fee for players interested in trying out for Advance Level Teams.
- *Players released from Advance Level tryouts will automatically move to down to next level of tryouts
Advance Level Includes:
- Players play advance level hockey (Tier 1-Tier 4)
- TWO practices per week PLUS weekend games
- Teams will continue to play competitive games within their CAHL tier(s)
- Participate in tournaments within CAHL (Tournaments may have additional costs)
U11AA REGISTRATION FEE
- $150.00 Tryout Fee for U11 AA Lakers
- *Players released from AA tryouts will automatically move to down to next level of tryouts.
- *Non-resident players released from tryouts will be returned to their home association
U11AA Level Includes:
- Players play AA level hockey
- TWO practices per week PLUS weekend games
- Teams will continue to play competitive games in the AEHL (Alberta Elite Hockey League)
- Participate in tournaments within AEHL (Tournaments may have additional costs)

$150.00 Tryout Fee due at time of SLMHA Registration for U11 AA tryouts.
$150.00 Tryout Fee due at time of SLMHA Registration for A/B tryouts.
